Again I need some help from you HOGS.

I have recently bought an Steel Heart II, not like the one I have that I know is A2, this one is different.

It is OAL 13.5’’
5/16 thick (sorry is not 3/16)
Handel is micarta with screws.

So here are the questions:
Is it A2 or INFI? Previous owner says it’s A2 but I'm not sure.
How much will it cost? It is new but I want to know if I got reap of.

Thanks all for your help.

Pics would help.
I have not seen a SHSH with slotted bolt fasteners that was 3/16ths thick.

You can't tell by just looking at a SHII with solid or slotted bolts as to whether it is A2 or INFI, only Jerry can tell you for sure. There are a few indications on what it might be, but you didn't include a picture. A fair price no matter if it is A2 or INFI in todays market would be $500 - $700 with the original sheath and in new condition.

I have seen them a little under 1/4" like .245" but never .1875" (3/16"), I would need to see a picture of it next to another 1/4" SHII.

I knew it was coming, should said it before, camera is broken and my cell is crap!

sorry, its a 5

Totally a guess, but if it is 5/16", has slotted bolts and if the talon holes are small, it most likely is A2. I don't recall seeing any 5/16" thick INFI SHIIs with slotted bolts, most all SHIIs in INFI are 1/4", sometimes .274".

I agree that A2 v. INFI isn't that big a deal on the price...

I'd only add that Ducci pricing is usually on the low side, mostly because he only buys SHSHs :p

Either steel you still get the same Busse warranty so either way for me.

Randucci current pricing is pretty much spot on considering the one I recently picked up from ebay in the high $400s and another one that just sold for about $575. Of course people listing with crappy pics and no information doesnt help the price.

Thanks all for your help. I'm happy I did not get reap off

I'll give you $400 for it cabra :D

That made me catch my breath there for a sec, I would make fifty bucks if I sold my first SHSH smooth handle slotted bolt. My second I had to suck it up and spend 400. Got 650 in my Birds Beak.

Ah the old days...... :(
