help with striping

i just bought a hd-7 the has a strider like striping on the ti handle. i want to do my other hd-7 like this any ideas on how it was done? also the new one has all chrome hardware was this all custom? can get any good pics some one borrowed my camera and never got it back :mad: Thanks
 
Try STR. Good luck on that one, TG. Krein sends back my HD-7 blade this week! It said it's a bee-otch!!

10-4 TG. Post what you find out about the striping. Maybe you should get a Strider too!lol.

can't you just heat the titanium up with a torch? Never done it but I thought that is what you need to do.
 
The strider Ti stripes are a heat finish, it will be hard to get a uniform pattern like you have on your strider but if you just want a random pattern you can heat it up with almost any flame source. you will get colours from purple through to gold. it will still look pretty sweet but i think Ti looks better with a heavy bead blast my self.
