help with strop compounds.

so my understanding is that green chromium oxide compounds are in the range of ABOUT .5 microns. because they vary by company.
i have also heard that the knives plus green compound already loaded on the strop block is somewhat finer then normal green compounds. is this true? if so whats the knives plus green compound rate at?
also, what is the general micron rating for white compound? (comes in a one ounce bar if it helps)

i have done extensive research on aluminum oxide white compounds and i haven't really found a micron or grit rating

Green/Chromium oxide is or should be between 0.3 & 1 microns. White compound is larger at 2-4 microns.

I wouldn't believe to much in that its finer, at best its better quality and that alone is almost more important than the compound particle size.
