looks like an artifact
not prolly usable but would look good in a collection and has obviously historical value but how much?

I wish there was a better photo of the stamp. There's not much out there about "O. Cornish". Here's one possibility (I'm not saying it's probable, though):
Oscar Perry Cornish, born 1846, farmer and blacksmith, moved to Elwood, Iowa.

If the "O" is really a "C", then this is a possibility:
Charles Alton Cornish, born 1860, blacksmith at Lynn, Mass.
