Help with Traser day/date setting?

I just purchased a P6600 Shadow, but I'm having difficulties understanding the date/day setting. Probably me just being thick, but I'd appreciate your help.

I did what the manual prescribed ie. I set the date between 2230 and 0000, to the following day. I also tried setting the current date and day at a random point during the day.

But the day does not jump at midnight, but around 1300 instead, with the weekday in German being visible for the better part of the afternoon.

I do shift work, and I'd like it to jump at midnight if possible, so how do I set the watch up for this? Do I have to set it at a specific hour for this?

Been there, done that.

When you pull the crown out, you should feel 2 clicks. The outer click is for time, the inner click is for the day and date. Using the inner click, turning clockwise will set the numerical day, turning CCW willl set the day alternating between German and English. Stop on the day of the week and language of your choice

I figured that much out myself

How do you get the day and date to change at midnight though? Ill try setting it again at midnight, maybe that'll do the trick causing the day to jump in exactly 24 hours.
