I just found an unusual sheath and would appreciate some help identifying the knife that went in it and it's possible worth.

It is a leather sheath made by Johnson's Leather in Casselberry, FLA. The back is stamped with Johnson's logo and B4. The front is stamped with the Bone Lubbock, TEX logo. 8-3/4" long, 4-3/8" blade pouch, 4" belt loop, 3/8" tip tongue for leg ties.
It looks to be made for a double edged boot knife due to the symmetrical blade compartment.

I have found a lot of examples online of sheaths for Bone knives, but none like this. It has no snap/hilt retainer, just holes for leather or cord. 4 at the handle front, two on the back, and two at the tip.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Lubbock! I spent a lot of time is Lubbock, got my degree at Texas Tech.

Hopefully you will find some info about your sheath, but as a Registered User you cannot ask for a value, but the info you get might get you on your way there.

Wish I could help out more, I'm familiar with the logo, but not the maker oddly enough. I'm sure someone will come along and give some more info.

Best of luck on the research!

I recall reading that Johnson made sheaths for Randall knives (also located in Fla.)
Not much help, I know, but hey...that's sumpin.

It is a sheath for a Ralph Bone throwing knife. A nice example is on flebay right now....

Hello folks
just joined was looking for info on Bone knives, and this thread googled up.
It's the knife I was looking for info on. I have it and that sheath. I would consider
it as more of a boot knife than throwing since it's quite sharp and I think it would be inclined
to 'leave a mark' unless you're holding the handle whilst throwing.
Bought it for my wife in the early 70's when she worked third shift at a hospital on the south side of Chicago.
Could post a pic if anyone would like to see it
