https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1PRHQxNpKa/ I am having a time figuring out any information on this one, my grandfather had it in his collection. He was in WW2 so there is a possibility he brought it back with him, but I know it is not military since all those I have found in research have knuckle guards...For reference the blade is 6 inches in length, and total length is ten inches (minus the crusher tip) any help would be greatly appreciated!

The knife is based on the Buck 119 to my eye blade wise. The guard is brass, and the handle is a water buffalo horn tip. Was anyone is Vietnam or spent time in the Philippines? Stylewise, it's too late for WWII, but does remind me of the knives Vietnamese and Philippine knife makers turn out for military men stationed in those areas.

It is very possible a friend could have given it to him or he could have picked it up well after the war! Concerning the blade, you are not the first to say it looks like a buck blade! It would have been super nice if it would have a maker mark on it :) I am thrown by the (for lack of better term) frosted texture of the blade itself, but I personally really like it ...it gives it a rustic look.

Here's a 119, and a larger 120 so you can see the resemblance.

I note that the Bucks you posted are from the 60's- 70's time frame. So that configuration of Buck knives is what would have been available at that time.

It looks more like a trench art knife, that someone put together in their spare time.

Look for knives that were around during WWII, like Case, Camillus, Western, Ka-Bar...

I agree the guard is copper or bronze not brass. Cool old knife. I doubt we will learn anymore about it.

But it seems well made, and has a nice patina, It could easily be a theater knife.
