am i reading this correctly - i can't carry a fixed blade? or is it i can but like a folder it has to be under 3.5"?

"The following definitions apply in this chapter:

A. "Dangerous knife" means any fixed-blade knife and any other knife
having a blade more than three and one-half inches (3 1/2") in length.

B. "Fixed-blade knife" means any knife, regardless of blade length,
with a blade which is permanently open and does not fold, retract or
slide into the handle of the knife, and includes any dagger, sword,
bayonet, bolo knife, hatchet, axe, straight-edged razor, or razor
blade not in a package, dispenser or shaving appliance."

i would interpret that section as prohibiting all fixed blade carry.

it should be noted that is from the seattle municipal code, and would only apply within seattle city limits or incorporated areas.

normally there is an exemption for lawful use, such as: recreation or travel to and from, occupation, etc., though i didnt see one in the online source.

i also briefly read portions of the state code, and it appears all forms of knife carry are legal. it is illegal, however, to draw with intent to intimidate. (?)
