I have a zt 562cf. I would like to deepen the finger groove down to the frame on the side opposite the lock. Can anyone tell me how without damaging the scale? How to make the finish match up.

Good question. I thought about doing this as well when I first got mine. Since then I have gotten so used to the lock that I'm glad I didn't do it. It would definitely help to access the lock bar for those with extra large hands.

Sandpaper on a round rod(long way). Sanding drum in a drill, or dremel. Then finish sand by hand(quick way). As far as matching the finish?? I would need to see it.

make sure you wear a mask and goggles and gloves. carbon fiber is dangerous to your heath. slivers and dust in your skin will, eyes and lungs will cause irreversible damage.

keep the dust in case you find voids. if you find voids mix the CarbonFiber dust with superglue and fill those voids. some epoxy can do this too, but forget which kind, then polish.

Thanks guys. I may give this a whirl. I don't need much off, but it would make getting to the lock a lot easier

Yes, I forgot. As Mo2 said, WEAR GLOVES, MASK, GOGLES! Carbon Fiber is what Satan's CONDOM is made from! I HATE working with it! The absolute most vile material there is! But it sure does look good. Oh well.
