I have a folding lock back knife that I know nothing about. I am helping a friend try and get this thing closed....neither of us are really knife people.Link to images
It was given to him as a gift, purchased in Kuwait in 05 but it says it was manufactured in Solingen Germany. The brand is Zwilling J.A. Henckels and the model number appears to be 55665-000. It says TWIN Lift on it.
I have searched high and low with Google, YouTube, and Chatgpt to try and find a video or manual depicting how this is "supposed" to close. It seems to be either too rare or obscure not sure. It is extremely sharp. Friend opened it, got it locked out and now neither of us can figure out how to get it functional. I finally managed to take it apart and can see it maybe is some kind of hidden bolster mechanism? It seems like there is just too much pressure on the mechanism or I am just not understanding how it is supposed to function. Seems like sort of a leaf spring but the cam where it pivots is too tight or something?
Not sure...please help.
