help?

Absolutely not. I regret buying my CRKT M16. The lock jams open when you use it hard. The steel is bead blasted which makes it more prone to rusting. The handles are just plastic, whereas the Tenacious is G10. The Tenacious has much better ergonomics too. The Tenacious is a better knife all around.

It all depends on what you need out of a knife. The Tenacious is a good knife, with steel about the same as in the M16 (8Cr vs Aus 8 I believe). I do not know how well CRKT heat treats their Aus 8 but it has held up well for me. The lock on the CRKT (Auto-Lawks) seems like a gimmick to me, it keeps the liner lock from dis-engaging which should never happen under normal use. I find the Tenacious more ergonomic as The-Stig did too, but the CRKT feels fine in my hand. A bit small, but I do have small hands and am able to four finger grip a Techno so if you have small hands it should be fine.

Additionally, it depends on the blade shape you'll get on the M16 as well. I have the Tanto combo blade, which I find reduced the amount of blade I use to about an inch or so. Not my cup of tea.

I'll never buy another knife with Auto-LAWKS. I had to close the knife with a pair of pliers just because I was cutting thick cardboard. I forget what happened exactly, but I think the stupid little tab that keeps the lock bar from traveling got wedged in place somehow. Not impressed.
