I took apart my sage 2 and now the blade is off centered to the right, touching the scale. How do I recenter it? PLEASE I need guidance :grumpy::grumpy::grumpy:

I can't Help I don't own a Sage. My only suggestion would be the obligatory tightening of the pivot (which I am sure you have all ready tried). I would also post your question over at the Spyderco Forums there are lots of really knowledgeable people over there as well.

Usually when that happens to me something isn't lined up right, like the pivot recess or something. Often just taking it apart and putting it back together fixes it. There's also a "trick" that sometimes works if nothing else does. Loosen all the screws and stick a piece of card stock in next to the blade on the side where it touches (forcing it over in the other direction) then retighten the screws starting with the butt of the knife and working up to the pivot which is tightened last. None of this is Sage-specific.

Amani28, I have always had good luck reassembling in this order. (1)Get all the scale screws, and pivot screw started.(2) First tighten the scale screws just to snug(not tight). (3)Then tighten the pivot screw as tight as you dare, of course not to stripping!
(4)Tighten the scale screws down. (5) loosen the pivot untill you get the opening action you like!
I have had at least 30+ knives taken down and reassembled, in the last couple years, and all ended up centered.
Good luck, Dan.

That makes total sense, I am going to try it!

I don't know if the sage has washers, but make sure you didn't accidentally put both on the same side. It can be nerveracking taking a knife apart for the first time, but it gets a whole lot easier. I have to disagree with what the other guy said. I never tighten the pivot really tight. All that does is bind everything up. I tighten it till it isn't loose then tighten it in tiny increments checking for blade play.

I fixed the centering issue with the sage 2, it was a simple reassembling mistake. I put the longer pocket screw into the pivot , this produced the centering issue. Thank you all for your suggestions and help.:)
