On my large 21 if I tighten the screws down all the way not to the point of striping but just hand tight my blade is SUPER stiff. But if I loosen the stop pin screw a little I get that Sebenza action. Now my knife just came back from CRK a month ago and I have not disassembled it. What could be the problem here?

Was yours stiff when tightend before sending out to C
RK?Mine is also like yours but it is new and i expect breaking in period. For now i can only tell mine is getting slightly better after a week.

Make certain that your PhosBr Washers are not pinched against the scales by the pivot bushing.

You can polish the PhosBr Washers with a strop or on a very fine stone to reduce their thickness. Be very conservative with this option as you could potentially remove too much material from the washers and introduce lateral blade play.

You may also dismantle the knife, clean any contaminated grease from the bushing, blade, PhosBr washers and scales and apply fresh grease. Ensure that a layer of grease is deposited between the inside of the blade and the outside of the pivot bushing as well as the blade side of the PhosBr washers. You may also apply a small amount of grease in the track of the detent ball and on the carburized section of the lock near but not on the face of the lockbar. You don't need to tighten the screws with gorilla strength. Tighten enough to cause a small click when loosening them.

Did CRK take it apart????
You'll probably be better off taking it down, cleaning it and re lube it.
Can't really guess what the issue might be unless you take it down and examine everything.
Or, you can send it back to CRK if they took it apart.
Me, I'd take it apart. I typically tighten the back spacer screw first, followed by the stop pin screw and the pivot last.

Yes they disassembled it they replaced the pivot bushing but not the washers. Before sending in to CRK for a striped pivot screw I could get all screws tight and it was amazingly smooth. I'm planning on taking it down just don't have any grease now.

I may be wrong, but first you tighten the stop pin screw and then the pivot.
Feel it, there is no reason to super-tighten it.
hope this helps
