help

The one I have cost about $10.00 and in my opinion was a waste of money. I have only flipped it open a little and the POS is already falling apart.
From what I have read though Rostfrei is not the company name, instead it is the stamping used to descibe the blade. If this same stamp is used on higher quality knives than someone else can probally help you more then I can.

My first balisong was a "rostferi" balisong that I over pied for, but I don't care. In my opinion its great, and I love it. Its weird but the weight and every thing is good, I just like it, honestly I think I have flipped it more that I have flipped my 42, it has sure taken a beating, not a bad Bali. at a low price.

Rostfrei is a German word that means literally "Rust free" and more specifically means "stainless steel" in German. It is often stamped on cheap balisong blades to try and give them an aire of German quality. There is no legal requirement in the US that Rostfrei mean anything, even stainless steel.

"What you pay for is what you get" doesn't always apply, especially when it comes to cheapies. Some cheapies are so cheap that it wasn't worth the tax you paid for it and it is better destroyed.

A lot of my balis are stamped "rostfrei," but like everyone else has already said, it's not a brand... it's German for "rust free." The rostfreis I have, I like, but you have to make sure you don't over pay for them.

EDIT: They are good for practice balis.
