Help!

I sure do like that cast iron pot, from what I can see of it! As to ID of axe heads over top they are not of north American origin. But there are knowledgeable folks on here that love the Ruskie-Baltic stuff and will give you a better answer.

EDIT: I see that it's a galvanized garbage can lid and not the lid off a Dutch oven

Great looking axes, sorry I too can't help beyond what 300 said, and agree there are several members that may be able to help and or point you in the right direction.
Do you have a few camera shy axes down to the left?

D-shaped, square, or rectangular eyes?
Something along of the Manarinhacke in spirit?

The material under the blade on the two is interesting - maybe telling of where they came from? Modified or original? They are pretty wide where a "Rheinelander" isn't.
Are the two wider-bladed ones thinner overall than the large one center-left?
Where did you find them?

The wideness at the back of the two threw me...they are in a antique shop in Venice Italy. My Lady is on a trip with her daughter and doing some ax shopping for me. He wanted 50 euros apiece for the two. With limited info I passed. She bought the one to left and a hatchet for 25 euros. The hatchet had a foundry stamp. May have passed on a treasure?

Those axes will look a lot better after a quick bath in naval jelly or wd-40, then a scrub with steel wool or wire wheel!

Thats a Manarinhacke. It's a pattern local to the area of Venice. As for its worth: It's worth as much as your willing to pay for it I guess? It's rare as in that you don't find them often? But it's without any monetary value.

purchased.jpg These are the ones she is bringing home....just noticed the strap on back of hatchet?

Those are just your run of the mill axes. Rheinlander pattern. Really common in al of Europe. I would get these at no more then 5 euro's here locally.... The strap is used to secure the head without wedging. Does account for upward movement, but does absolutely nothing for downward movement.
Thanks Kevin...seems I have found an expert!!....the little one has a stamp on it and maybe when she gets it home you can assist with the identification?
