OK, in this age of the internet, social media and all that, I guess you have to know shorthand. I get IMHO, FWIW, LOL, YMMV, BTW and many others.

But what the heck does "TL;DR" stand for?
 
Too long, didn't read.

It's the summary at the bottom of a wall of text. It became necessary in the social media age where the average attention span is now approximately equivalent to that of a gnat.
 
Thanks- I'll add that to my lexicon.

That will certainly come in handy on some of the posts on this forum:D!
 
The online “Urban Dictionary” has helped me out a lot with a lot of popular online slang, hip-talk and abbreviations. Give it a try the next time another piece of that stuff stumps you.
