I have been looking for a user grade forged knife for a while, and I found "them". Now I am questioning a few things.
1. Are there benefits to using a high carbon steel like 1080 vs. a tool steel like O-1 or is it the other way around. I truly respect both men as they are ABS master smiths in the trade.
2. I also know a great smith who uses awesome damascus 1095x15N20, and he uses the stock removal method.
All three knives I am looking at are about the same cost. Can I get some feed back from You guys now?
