I am looking for a recommendation on a smaller folder under 4". I would like to try something like a Fallkniven or EKA, but have not been able to handle any of these so I will only be able to buy off of everyones advice. I really want to try something other than the usual Benchmade or Spyderco and if possible please list why you would buy it.
 
It would help if you could define your needs and requirements. What sort of knife do you want? What features do you desire? Why not a Spyderco or Benchmade?
 
I am just looking for an EDC with great cutting ability. Nothing tactical. No Benchmades or Spydercos because I already own a few and would like to branch out into something different.
 
I have a Fallkniven U2 toward the top of my want list. Because I've heard so much about the outstanding edge retension of their blades. They are also said to have excellent fit and finish.
