I just flick open my sebbie and the lock stuck. I used a thumb flick with a wrist snap and it took a couple of forceful trues to unlock my knife. I am a new sebbie owner so forgive my ignorance but are sebenzas not supposed to be flicked open? Did I damage my knife?

You can damage any knife over time with constant forceful snapping of the blade. After all its metal to metal friction.

I believe Chris Reeve advises against 'forceful' snapping of the blade, infavour of smooth 'thumb' opening...this is due to the wearing of the components in the locking mechanism.
That being said, 'snapping' open a blade, means that two pieces of metal are being locked against each other quite quickly, the lock is the 'end result' and so the lock getting stuck could be somewhat of a predictable outcome.

You can flick the knife open without hurting it, you just have to practice. With just the right amount of finesse you can flick it open and it doesn't hit the back stop pin any harder than if you were thumbing it open. If you constantly SLAM it open, it'll eventually loosen up since you'll be breaking down that stop pin.....any maybe the blade, though I would think it would mainly be the pin since it's likely much softer than the HT S30V.
