My kershaw blur had to be taken apart , it was very dirty. And now I'm having problems getting it back together. I need pictures to see how the tension rod sits. This is very difficult and I'm having alot of trouble. I've spent all day trying to fix it.

Put the tension rod (torsion bar) totally "UP" (it has a sliding space, make sure that it is completely up, then try to mate the two ends together with the other side of the knife.

It is a tough one to put back together.

I had to fiddle with my first Blur take down for a few minutes myself. It was a real head scratcher for a while. Stupid me didn't pay attention when I took it apart.

LOL same thing happened to me. Well. I got it back together, Now when when its open though, something is rattling around, only when open. I can't figure out waht it is?!?!!?! Driving me mad.

That's the torsion bar. It's just fine, nothing's wrong. If it really bothers you, then you can disassemble it again (:D) and lube the torsion cavity. :p

Can't be, Cuz there is constant tension on the bar. Im thinkin its one of washers. I might have them backwards..

I'll bet its the torsion bar too. Next time you have it open, put a little dab of grease (just about any kind of automotive grade) in the cavity. Helps with lubrication and keeps the rattle away.

Does it rattle when it's closed? (It shouldn't)

Does it rattle when it is opened only (I think this is the case)

If the second is true, then it is the torsion bar.

FWIW, I pulled out a NIB SG2 Blur just to check. With the blade open, if I shake it hard enough I can hear a faint rattle.

Note to others that may attempt this test: DO NOT hold the knife near your ear while you shake it to see if you can hear it.

Respectfully submitted,

the rattle is definatley the torsion bar. i actually took my blur apart this mornign and lubed the torsion bar to remove the rattle form my knife.
