Does kabar make a knife that doesn't have the leather handle.. Or does that matter much I have just heard better things about something called kraton handles? Is it just a marketing gimmick thing??
 
Yup, they make them with Kraton (synthetic rubber) handles. In lots of colors too. And really cool aftermarket sheaths. Or with market, depends on how you buy them.

Makes well enough sense I like that bottom one a lot which model is that and also is that the standard sheath it comes with?
 
Model # is 5011.

The standard sheath for that model is Injection Molded Plastic.

I strongly suggest you spend some time at the KA-BAR website, and find exactly what you are looking for. There are several dealers here on BFC that will be happy to take care of your needs. Tomar's Kabars is my personal favorite, besides the factory of course.
