For those of you struggling to center your blade I have a helpful tip. Before I get to it though, make sure to try this sticky first...

If you're still reading you probably already tried that link but still can't get your blade centered. This was exactly the case with my XM-24 until I changed the teflon washers. Now the knife literally centers itself! Seriously...I don't even have to think about it. I just put it together, find the sweet spot, and whammo perfectly centered each and every time.
I don't know what it was about the old washers. They weren't kinked, folded, or damaged in any way (at least to my eye). So do yourself and your XM a favor and pick up some new washers. Oh and for those of you that don't know, you can buy them here...
