As I've mentioned in a couple of posts, I'm from Croatia and it's a problem getting hold of insulation bricks, steel and other materials you might need for building equipment or forging knives.
So I've reached out to a couple of steel or refractoy/insulation materials retailers in US and EU who ship internationally.
I won't name anyone here.
Basically, I recieved zero replies so far. I made 100% sure that all retailers can deliver to Croatia and sent an inquiry about shipping fees and lead times. I even included an approx. estimation of what my regular order might be when I choose a supplier. None replied.
So I wanted to ask for a recommendation for some helpful retailers, US or EU, someone you guys like working with.
P. S. Amazon was my first choice, but taking soft bricks as an example, I found a company that sells them for double the price over Amazon. I'm not entirely sure how Amazon dictates prices, but I would assume they would be working with a rebate rather than bumping up the margain to a 100%.
P.P.S. Can anyone tell me average US spft brick price? I keep seeing very different prices for different retailers with no real connection.
