I have just gotten a great device from Northern Tools, about $20. Bright yellow balls on telescoping shafts with magnets on the other end. You put one on the trailer and one on the trailer hitch and back up until they meet. Really works well and Anne does not have to wave direcions to me when I want to load the trailer on my Astro.

I "store" them by letting the magnets grab the unused seat belt holders in the back of the van.

Any other peopel have cool devices to share?

This is one of the best progarms I have ever used for simplicity and speed of resizing pictures for posting!

You do need Windows XP.

Tell you how it works. Download and install from here. (FREE) :D

Anytime you right click on a picture, you will see a new choice among the others -- "Resize picture."

Click there and you will be given several options for resize. I pick the one that says 800x600. Highlight one or several pictures and click.

The program will copy, reduce and put the new pictures in your file. It will rename them so you do not overwrite your originals. The pictures below were done with this program. It even reduced the pictures from 4 MB to 67kb. You have to have a file size less than 100kb

I even resized the pictures within the BF "manage attachments" and posted them here. Whole process from finding pictures to posting them in maybe a minute.

This is so simple and easy, I am kicking myself for not getting it sooner!

bill I was looking at the thumbnail version of your dog in the batthtub. Hmmm thinks I . Bill has cats and dogs in the same house ?

That is one bedraggled pooch .

Now were you looking at a picture of Bill's dog that was in the bathtub, or were you yourself sitting in the bathtub looking at a picture of Bill's dog? :D ;)

Sorry, just struck me as funny:D

Bill, I downloaded the picture managing software about a month ago. It is very easy to use, and I recommend it as well.

I like your dealy bop for hitching up the trailer, that is really cool and looks easy to use.

He does look different when he dries off.

NO cats, but we did have pet possums. They are suprisingly like cats when raised from joeys. Very clean, groom themselves like cats do. Use a litter box and got along ok with the dogs. The possums were here first and the dogs grew up with them, so everyone got along fine.

One big happy fur family! They liked to cling to Anne's hair and ride around all day while Anne did her everyday things. Even Anne's mother got to like them.

Possums raised in captivity are very gentle. We had about 20 over a period of time and were never bitten.

The problem is that possums have a very limited lifespan. Average two years, in the wild or captivity. Never thought that I could get attached to them, but I did and we werer both devastated when one would slowly sink and die.

I will now use my little utility to resize some possum pix.

Using the resize utility is what this thread should be about, but I digress.... with possums.:D

Ah, a sure sign that the season is changingr. I remember back to my childhood when my mother used to can possums in the fall for the coming spring:D

Very cute lil fellers there, Bill:)

Bill, I must say that your homeraised possums look much cuter than the flea bitten mangy units that used to steal the dog's food. Those are some great pictures that you have there!

Bill, your missus is cute but she has ratty hair. :D

I have been using MS Image Resizer for a few years since it was in beta and part of XP Powertools. Is is an invaluable pice of kit and I have used it twice today already. You can take a folder of images straight out of your camera, press CTRL+A (select all) and then right click/Resize and resize all the pictures. I post a lot of food pictures elsewhere. Pictures straight out of my camera are 500 Kb (half a megabyte) and Image Rezizer set to Small puts them at 39 Kb.
