i needed to improve on the ergo's of the Kangee immediately after i tried it out for a few swings.

2 issues: the first was the end of the handle area that really raised heck wwith my hand after a few swings. the end of the handle would cause a lot of pain as the hand rode down on the handle while chopping. in the pic you can see i cut off one of the holes that are for lashing i guess. after cutting that off and rounding it out with the sander it feels great and the remains is a good place to rest the pinky if needed.

second issue is when i grab up at the top of the handle to do close work. i have small hands i even my hand would not fit in the area immediately under the head. that position right under the head i use a lot for making curls and fine cuts. i took the angle grinder and took off enough material to comfortably get my hand right up close to the head with no problem.

i have not smoothed out the grinds yet but will after a few more days of us to be sure i have it right.

i hope this helps someone who is thinking about the kangee. it is a great hatchet/hawk, just needs a tuneup when you get it. thanks for viewing.
