I've been looking around for a sunk joint congress and this one showed up on the Canadian exchange forum. The fit and finish is great, 1/2 stops, flush in all three positions and with nice stag scales that smooth right in to the bolsters. All the blades are scary sharp with some interesting swedges and slightly different grinds. It's stainless, but what can ya do. :D
Sorry for the blurry pics, next time I feel the need for another knife, I'll buy a new camera:o
Or maybe not.
Best regards

Great looking knife, Robin! The stag sure is nice!! Glad to hear you finally found one. I like the background of you photo although I'm not sure what they are? Stamps?

Hello my friend. They are period forgeries (meant at the time to fool early collectors) Of the first stamps of Newfoundland, 1857 was the first issue. It's reasonably cheap way of collecting stamps worth up to $70,000 if real. One of my many collecting traps. :D Haven't bought any for years then a dealer sent me a dreaded catalog :o

Best regards

Robin

Very very interesting, but I expect nothing less from you, my friend!! I will see what I can find on the subject but I must resist...lol.

So many interesting things in this Universe but I digress....Enjoy that lovely Hen and Rooster.

Many would impute magical powers to these H&R's

Is that your dog in the background Bro???? Nice rose quartz under that nice green congress.
Trust me Gev, stamps are as dangerous as knives. I argued with myself for days about the knives I could buy but ended up putting a bid in on a full sheet of 19th century forgeries that I have wanted for years. Good thing I ordered a bunch from Charlie before I bid on the stamps. :D

Paul, mine is 3 & 5/8ths and the blade configuration is one pen, one coping, and two large sheepsfoot. If you need anything else just ask, Paul
