I'm trying to figure out a couple of things about this knife.

1. What model is it? I know it is a trapper but is there a number designation for it?

2. Can anyone tell about when it was made?

3. Value? May be selling so I am trying to understand how to price it.

OAL 4 3/16"
Both blades are 3".

Looks like stag?

Thanks in advance for your help.

doe'nt look like the collectable h&r made before 1980s. go to bernard levines section & you can get a definable answer.

The tang stamps look the same as my 2000's models. Although the company is now owned by Frost, they still make very decent knives. I'd second the Bernard Levine forum, or see if you can ask AG Russell (he's around here sometimes) as he owned the brand for a while. Don't know if he'll answer, but you can always try.

As you say, after 1980 either made by Klaas Kissing Crane or Boker, I understand that they are now being made in Spain. Worth the price charged.

A.G. - thanks for the info. I cannot recall what I paid for it so if you or someone can provide a ballpack price I appreciate it. I have several other H&R and this one just collects dust. I use my knives and if I find that I don't use them then I gift them or sell them.

Appreciate all the responses.

Randy
