Hen & Rooster

I have a Hen & Rooster traditional trapper pattern slip joint with what appears to be white bone scales. The spey blade has the H&R logo on one side of the choil and the other side is blank. The clip blade also has the H&R logo on one side of the choil...however, on the other side it says..."Bertram Cutlery" and 312WSB.

Can anyone tell me who or what is "Bertram Cutlery" ? Part of Hen & Rooster? ....or ??

Thanks, Sunny...using the information from the thread you provided I was able to find several references to the "history" of H&R and Bertram. It is apparent there are several "facts" that are contentious and that a definitive history does not actually exist.
