Henry Sears & Son Patent June 28 1870

My uncle purchase a Henry Sears & Son knife recently.
Patent stamp June 28, 1870. About 6 inch blade diagonal groove on one side and smooth on the other, giving it a serrated effect. The knife is in good condition. Any info, history or value is much appreciated.
