Her mouth was so full of dirt the first man to reach her was afraid she would choke if he gave her water.

"I honestly didn't even know I was missing, I didn't know I was gone, I didn't know anything was going on," she said. "I just thought I was in a big dream."

Just when you thought you heard it all

This is what happens when people are not ready to head out into the wilderness

That's what I call replete with the dumbness. Sounds to me like a couple of inexperienced pot takers.

Unbelievable. Hallucinating after being without water for a couple of hours? Seriously?

I'm glad my boys are in Scouts. They know how to use a compass, read a map, and generally survive in the wilderness. "Prepared. For Life."

She had frostbite on her hand so I'm guessing it was hypothermia and not dehydration but who knows. Could just be a bad mushroom trip.

I don't know what exactly was going on with them, going up to touch the clouds etc. But this does bring up some of the tricks that your mind can play on you when you're dehydrated, sleep deprived and scared. (Not to mention if they were already high to begin with)

I would think either shrooms, acid or other were involved with this one. I would say they were not ready to head out of their living room, let alone out into the wilderness.

hypothermia or hypoglycemia can make people goofy quick. but yeah, there is more to the story. Seems they were pretty lucky to have survived themselves, having a nap under the tree probably would have been the best option. Not hard to see how they got so out of sorts, each getting the other more worked up.
