Made a phone call to Julie Hyman of Arizona Custom Knives Sunday evening and ordered this nice hunter that she obtained at the Baltimore show in December

The sheath is made of leather and ostrich leg skin and is nicely decorated and perfectly stiched.

The knife is a 2700 layered birdseye damascus (the composition of which I neglected to get but have inquired about). The OAL is 8 1/4" with a 4 1/8" blade. The handle is oosic and California buckeye with nickle silver guard, butt and spacer

There is some very nice file work done

and the grinds and multi-bevels show just nicely as this blade appears to be just coming out of the heat of the forge

Julie is working very hard at updating the AZCK site and I'm sure will have some new knives after this weekend where she will be attending the LV Classic Knife show.

Hey Murray,

That's a great-looking knife - I look forward to seeeing it in person. Terrific sheath, too.

Cheers,

Roger

That's a great knife Murray, and you photographed it exceptionally well. I really like the look of the blade, both the material used and the shape.

thanks for the kind comments from all. I had fun doing the photos and did send a set to Julie. I'm more than willing to help others with their images as I love to see knives and especially when they are well done images. I'm going to really enjoy seeing all of Coops knives he has done for the new website.

It is really a great knife and I love how the pattern in the oosic is reflected in the pattern of the blade. Been having a great time handling it for the past couple days and what also is great is that it is another winner in the eyes of my wife Phyllis.

I was amazed too Coop as the knife was at my door prior to noon on Tues.

The images did not take long an just a contrast modification from the in camera image was done and then an upload via ftp and the creation of the url and voila--into the forums for the viewing.
