Hi there my friends, I came across these Fixed blades and to be honest, I couldn't go past them, not because they were a bargain, because they weren't, but mainly because I have always had a thing for fixed blades, I owned several hundred a few years ago - but now the Traditional Slippies have got hold of me good and proper.
Anyway, I have always been a fan of the bright coloured Composites that Remington (80's ), Camillus etc used on their knives.
Both of these knives are totally untouched, never used, the Case Sheath is extremely tidy, the Camillus's Sheath is just as tidy but sports a lot of storage marks.
The Stag on the Case is just lovely, but I also am extremely drawn to the Camillus's Handle as well.
Sword Brand is a secret love of mine, there are some absolute honeys out there, in both fixed blades, and Slippies, and the other fixed blade is Case, they too as we know have a proven track record...lets have a looksee......

Great looking blades Duncan. I think you have very similar taste to me when it comes to blades.

I hope all is well now in your life.

Edit: Is the handle on the Case as fat as it looks? It looks as if it's a real handful.

Wow...what lovelies, Duncan!! I need to remedy my lack of fixed blades. Thanks for sharing these.

Really nice Duncan, you know my thoughts on vintage CASE, Camillus, Schrade and the other great knife companies

Those are terrific and look to be pristine, very very nice ;)

Two beautiful knives, Duncan! I have to say, if I could get the Camillus handle on the Case blade, I think I would have my perfect fixed blade. Excellent examples of fine knives.

Really like the handle on the Camillus, reminds me of the knife my old man used when we used to go hunting upstate New York.

Howdy Mack, its always good to read your post's my friend, and thanks for the question...the handle is as near perfect round as you will get - now as I remember this was the case with these knives ( sorry pun un-intended ), no its not super fat-but my hands are large so...Im guessing its a bod fit thing there, I do admit the Camillus sits back into my hand a bit better.

Thank you very much for the comments guys

Two lovely knives Duncan (great to see you posting too) :) I didn't realise you had a thing for fixed blades, let alone previously owning several hundred. You don't do things by halves do you?! :D

They ARE really lovely. I know a lot of folks don't care for it, but I pretty much grew up using synthetic handles. I like'm.

Thank you Frank.

Howdy Jack - yep Ha, my mates used to love coming around, before they did I used to spread all my knives out everywhere on the beds etc...they loved it as they would never see anything like that, then I sold them off slowly buying-selling to support the addiction as we do over time...then I met Charlie who invited me in to show a knife here, and that bad man never told me powers of addiction the slippie world has - watch out...it all makes sense now-he's a Dealer lol.

Good stuff Duncan! :D Hope your weekend is going OK my friend :)

Nice -are they both synthetic? or is the Case genuine stag? both are fantastic anyway.
cheers
sorry just read the post fully.

I know it's probably sacrilege, but I like the Camillus better than the Case. (Not to say the Case is bad, they're both great-looking knives) I always liked that Sword-Brand etch!

The condition on both of those is outstanding! Thanks for posting them.

I thought I had the exact same Camillus, but mine says 1013 on the sheath, and mine is flat on the un-etched side.
Very interesting shape on that Case blade: like somebody was aiming for half-way between a regular clip-point and the thumb-hump skinner (like the Camillus; I don't know the real name.)
