Well it is official, I will place my knives in front of the judges in two weeks. I did the best job I could. I truly understand why this test is so important as I have learned so much about myself and my knives through this process. Pass or fail, I win . I wish everone who is testing this year the best of luck and I look forward to meeting my classmate's.

very nice Dave. I would wish you good luck but I know you aren't going to need it. From what I have seen of your work I am sure that you will pass

That's a fine looking line up! Good luck to you!

All the best, Dave:thumbup:
Looking good:)

David, you can not use Damascus on the JS test and there can be no more then two of any one style. As for the style of my 5, if they were damascus, they would be in line with what I like to make. They said I should not use stag so I did not. But I love stag. I tried to show different way's I could build a knife and I wanted to keep them clean but not too simple. I put a picture of a knife by Jason Night on the wall at my shop and I would look at it for inspiration. I had Tom Ferry, Bill Burke, John Christensen to look them over. and ask for advice. I did not always listen but I did ask.
