Here is one you don't see very often...

Very interesting...I am "into" Imperials right now, and that is a great example of the variety that was out there and how it was marketed.

I'll have to keep any eye on that auction...

Thanks,
Glenn

I will be tossing a bid in on this one, but as always, feel free to go for it yourselves. It is, afterall, a free country (for now), and if it is meant to be, then it will be mine...:D

Looks like an early 1970 to 1975 DE I have.

It is so bizarre that the listing also disappears from your watch list!! I wasn't bidding, but I wanted to see Glenn win it! Ebay shouldn't mess with my watch list!
Does anyone remember the sellers name?? I want to add he/she to my no-buy list!!

I don't remember the seller's name, unfortunately. I didn't know what my chances were, but I'd like to see it to the end. It's like someone saw the listing posted here, and is manipulating the system to get it for themselves.

What could possibly be the reason this listing was killed? I know the whole thing about if they seller is a deadbeat, violating the rules, etc., but this seemed like a very simple auction...

Oh well....back on the hunt.

Glenn

I wrote EBAY a letter of complaint for messing with my watch list!! Has anyone else had the listing dissappear??

If the seller cancelled the auction , would the listing automatically be erased from the system? I was thinking maybe someone made an offer on the knife and the seller cancelled . Pretty lame if that's what actually happened, especially when there where already legit bids on the knife.

This is an excerpt of the message that ebay sent me...

Thank you for your bid on the following auction-style listing:

Item number: 120050235759
Title: MINT IMPERIAL DIAMOND EDGE WEST POINT POCKET KNIFE USMA

Unfortunately, eBay removed this auction-style listing because it's against the law, eBay policy, or both. All bids or offers on this listing have been canceled. We advise you to not purchase this item.

They didn't say it was cancelled. They (ebay) said they removed it.

Wonder what was wrong with it?? Arms dealing of military surplus:eek:  ?!?
Did anyone capture a picture?????

That is really strange. It's not like it's a switchblade or something.Of course that's against policy too but I don't see them rushing to cancel all those listings.

The old Imperial Diamond Edge knives of this vintage are good solid knives.
Here are a couple stockmen I got a while back. The remind me of a Uncle Henry or an Old Timer.
