Well I bought a beautiful Kothimoda from another board member. In my excitement upon receipt of the blade, I threw out the box without noticing the frog was still in there.

So now, I have a beautiful blade, great sheath but no frog. :(

So what do you guys suggest now?

Haven't seen a Koth with frog...don't think you tossed it!

No frog on mine either-- I suspect if you want to carry your Koth you'll have to buy a sheath with a frog or make one from scratch.

Ditto on the absent frog. None of mine have frogs either. So relax, I think you are in great shape.

Most people just stash these "fancy" khukuris and let the dust bunnies have at them. Hence no need for a frog. :D

And traditionally the khuk was often worn under a sash; no belts.

The kothimodas are traditional.

Welcome.

Actually the seller said it was a Kothimoda and it looks like one except it has the plain black leather sheath, not the nice silver ones.

Contacted UB and he said he didn't have a frog to fit.

The blade isn't plain, the handle is special, for one thing, but I don't like the sound of this- leather sheath with the top Khukuri?

Hey, the blade is awesome. White bone handle, well balanced, polished to a gleam and I've sharpened so that is shaves hair off my arm.

I actually want a silver sheath, but Bill says that it's too much trouble to send it to back to have it fitted and then imported back to the US. So, a complete Kothimoda is on the Christmas list.

But back to this one. The black leather sheath is fine for me. Just want a Frog. :(

I could make you a plain leather sheath + frog.

Just don't have any black leather right now...
