Recognize her?

I was lucky enough to work out a deal with Dex at the gathering and came home with one of his wharncliffed 15's. I love the 15 and had some wood that I was dying to work with. Of course I had to make it glow as well. Got the idea for that from Todd's brass back knife. Green elder burl, moonglow back spacer, ( thanks to MrFreeze for sending me a small piece ) ghost jade / toxic green / ghost jade g10 liner, and the pins are black micarta. The blade has some mineral oil on it so looks kind of weird. Let me assure you, Dex's parkerizing is spotless. Now I need to find a leather bender. I do kydex but I'm seeing this in some black leather with the fire steel I got from Dex. Mmmmm that would be smexy! On to the pics!

Oh and Happy Mother's Day!

Dang man! That came out awesome. Nice work for sure. That wood is beautiful and the spacers and glow are a nice touch too.

You want to do a reverse trade? I might want it back now! lol

Gonna have to put some wood on my next one I think.

Great job Tanker, you made that sucker look even better than I could have imagined!

What kind of pins did you use?

Thanks guys. It was a fun project. Now I just need some time to get out and use her. Wood is pretty nice to work with. Nicer than g10 at least. I Got a good bit of wood from a guy I met at the Trackrock hammer-in named Tom. Super nice guy and has some REALLY nice pieces of wood. Pins are a black micarta rod that I cut to fit.

This is what I meant by the brass back. The liners were the exact same thickness as the moonglow. Got it almost perfect. If you look real close the top is just a hair off. Not bad for freehand and first attempt though.

Holy frickin cow! That is some beautiful. Every detail adds to the final product. Love the burl. It's my favorite. You are gonna enjoy that one. I'm jealous.
