Thumb stud or flipper both work for me. Blade has no play, lockup is solid;)

 
I really like the feeling of that knife but I just can't open it using the flipper unless I do a sharp wrist flick just like you do. Long ago I used to flick open all my knives but so much stress on it can't be that good. I may open them ocassionally that way with my thum but I try to be less rough on them.

jaislandboy and Mikel_24 thanks. I hear you if I were to open it like this all the time, there is no doubt wear and tear would be accelerated. With these phosphorous bronze washers this action just keeps getting smoother. Plus no Blade play and solid, click lock up. At a price I'm not scared to use it or lose it. Now that's all right. :).............
