We have an exclusive on this material with the manufacturer. Hopefully that will prevent being knocked off for a while

Here's a closer look at our new Snake Skin handle material. It is now available as a $35.00 upgrade on any Busse Knife prior to production.

It's hard to tell from the picture - how "grippy" is it? More so than the regular handle?

Either way, looks great!

Hi Jerry:

Would you please provide "technical details" on the new Snake Skin handle material option. For example, would the handle feel more comfortable? Is it "tougher" in some specific way? I am sure that many people will select this material just on its attractive appearance but those of us who are more analytical or engineering oriented get additional jollies out of knowing the unique tech superiority of our Bussse knives.

Thanks

Just in case you can't picture what they would look like on a knife, here's a set with the Camo or now Snake Skin handles on them. I really like the Satin and Snake Skin SJ (SSSSJ got that :D:D)

Yes, this is the previously mentioned Camo Micarta, but the word "Camo" doesn't really do it justice as it has a tendency to look more like snake skin than camo.

As for the technical data, it is still of the canvas variety and therefore belongs to the toughest group of the micartas.

As for the feel, there really isn't any difference than the black or tan. . . . . they feel great!

Those handles look great. Thanks for the pix Eric. Hoping to see a Steel Heart like that real soon. EC :)

I just spent the weekend "getting to know" my new flying badger with these handles and I have to tell you that they are better in person than even in the pics.

The word "Camo" had me initially in a negative frame of mind about this micarta, 'cause that's just not my thing, but inspite of that, I just really fell in love with the look on my knife. It's very different in a very good way. And, each scale is different!!! So each side of my knife is unique! Look closely at the pics Eric posted. Different is good. It's cool  And, to me, at least, this micarta is not doing a "camo" thingy, it's doing a snake thingy

Jerry,
has anyone at the shop tried puting some oil on the "snake skin" micarta to see what it looks like? The other micarta styles change so much when you put a little oil on them I'm curious what this stuff would look like?

Good question; but the real question is: What happens to the snakeskin micarta handles when they are handled by a lawyer?

For a nominal fee, anyone who purchases a new snakeskin handled Busse can send it to me for handling.

Please allow four to six months for return shipping.
