Found this little Schrade CUTCO Walden NY Ring Opener while cleanin' my night table drawer out, bought it last year at a yard sale for a $1 and forgot what I did with it.

Thought I'd share.:)

Very cool - looks to be in great shape, too.

It's in nice shape, full unsharpened blades but the the handles got little scratches on 'em from bouncin' around in the drawer.

I was thinkin' about usin' some FLITZ on the handles and try to polish the scratches out.

Glad you found it Ted! The old ring openers are a nice old classic, I bet that's the only Wurlitzer that can't play a tune!

Nice one, Ted! Great "deep-stamp" advertising!!
Unlike stamped plastic, that's there for the duration!!

How do the ring openers work do you turn the ring to open the blade? I have never had the chance to handle one of thoes- Joel

Just twist the ring, all the ones I own except for one have no nail nick so that's the only way to really open them.

The one with the nail nicks give ya a choice I guess.:)

have you got any semichrome?
i have had better luck from that than anything else i have ever tried.
it doesn't hurt it either.
just a thought,

Ted,

How could you forget about something so cool???

Here's a couple I have, though mine are just plain. The Wurlitzer etch makes that one.
