I was trying for a mirror finished look but ended up with a polished look.
Could only do so much with wet or dry paper. (from 400 grit, 800 grit and 1000 grit) And no buffing wheel.
I was thinking of changing the handle to either a fancy grade Cocobolo look or a spalted Hackberry look.

What so you fine people say? Open to suggestions?
Thanks.

I,m a big Fan of the Buck # 120, have a couple my self.
Really like the Cocobolo wood, can,t wait to see your finished knife.

Looks good. I bet that knife could tell some stories if it could talk.

Well the main story is that a U.S. Marine purchased this knife when he was on leave during the second half of Vietnam War. (between 1967-72) The knife finished his tour and came back home. the man carried it to the Rocky mountains, California and even down to Central America. Of course this was on family camping trips. Then it was passed down to his kids. I picked this knife up from a fella from Texarkana, Arkansas.
The sheath had rotted away from use. So I am in the process of making one. The sheath will be a crossdraw type because I travel in a power wheelchair.

So, do you fine people think I should leave it alone or redo the grip?
I am up for any ideas you can think of.
Thanks.
Myya

P.S. I have some sunny pictures available but I think I will wait till the Sunday Picture Show.
