• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

That I just finished making for my girlfriend. She wanted a set of throwing knives for Valentine's day. I wonder if that is a good sign or a bad sign? I think I'll tell her they're cupid knives. :)

I made them out of some 1/4" inch thick mystery high carbon steel I had laying around. I'm not sure how hard they are-- I did a single quench in old motor oil and then tempered them twice in the oven at 450 degrees. I've given them a few test throws (and test misses) and they seem to be holding up well. I figure that they're throwing knives and are generally going to get tarnished and beat up anyway-- which is o.k. as long as they are mostly indestructible.

No, they aren't chisel ground. They are just fairly thick. I put an "axe" edge on them.

Yeah, I hope I get hit by one figuratively, not literally! I think she's a "keeper!" (gotta love a girl who wants to share your love of the blade!)

wow, nice work man.

you're lucky, my girl friend made sure I -wouldn't- get her a knife. She made me swear on it :(
