Perhaps it's like a chisel to enhance strength? Reminds me a bit of this other unusual dagger tip from years ago called the "Besh wedge". It was a bit different than this but the goal there was to enhance tip strength over a traditional needle-like point. No point?![]()
You sound like Garth!!! He wants to name it the Super Ugly Combat Knife!!!Too much whisky and computer for this one! The handle is awesome, but the blade needs a redesign![]()
Because your the boss… he sounds like a good employee not complaining to much lolYou sound like Garth!!! He wants to name it the Super Ugly Combat Knife!!!
I think that way down deep he must really love it or why else would he go to the trouble of naming it?
Let's Drink!

You are correct on the diamond shaped dagger is a BESH, made a few sheaths for those interesting blades.I think I see what your doing with the grind and the tip, I have seen it somewhere before but I can't find it. It was like a Chisel Grind but one side was flipped over for the grind this left the tip stronger. Am I close?
I think it was called a BESH Wedge.
I was just looking at the overlaping grind lines. Most of the drawings show a center line and the grind so it made me think that one grind could be on the other side of the knife ...You are correct on the diamond shaped dagger is a BESH, made a few sheaths for those interesting blades.
Not seeing it here necessarily, just more of a chisel like tip.
The leaf style blade is making me go yuck though.![]()
Maybe ? Only Jerry knows for sureI was just looking at the overlaping grind lines. Most of the drawings show a center line and the grind so it made me think that one grind could be on the other side of the knife ...
