***SOLD***This is a super rare Paragon X-9 Para-Bow from 1994. This was named "Most Innovative Import Design Knife Of The Year" by Blade Magazine in 1994.

This was designed by Jim Gullette as an all-around survivalist knive.

These really are rare, (try to find one!), and this is a brute of a knife, (built like a tank!), that also is a powerful slingshot that accurately shoots arrows!

This knife is as "overbuilt" as they come and it has double stainless liners with all stainless bolsters. It is a "frontlock" lockback for easy opening and still is as smooth as butter. You can't believe how "overbuilt" this piece is!

This was made in Seki City, Japan of quality materials. If I remember correctly, the blade is AUS-8 stainless.

The 3/16" thick blade with false edge is 4", the handle is 5 3/16" and it is 9 1/4" overall and the width with double stainless liners and FULL stainless backspacer is 1" thick! The cutting edge is stll as sharp as a razor but the "false edge" is not sharpened but could be easily sharpened. It also has a 2nd super sharp, saw blade.

This will come with the original box, (several years ago, it was getting a little tattered and I carefully covered it with clear packing tape that strengthened it and it looks good!), original papers, original wrist piece with working compass, original 2 breakdown arrows, and original carry case with shoulder strap.

This will also come with two extra arrows that are almost impossible to find now!

I will let this rare and complete kit go for $250.00-***REDUCED TO $210.00***-***REDUCED TO $200.00!***REDUCED TO $175.00!******SOLD*** SHIPPED in US ONLY. Other countries will be extra. This truly is a collectible but would also serve as a great survival kit.

I'll accept PayPal and please include an extra 4% for my costs.

Here's a lousy picture but it's the best I could do with my 6 year old digital camera:

It's got a slingshot attachment that connects to the butt of the folder. Interesting design, and a true blast from the past!

Professor.

Thanks Professor for explaining that. Yes, you unscrew the heavy duty knurled coin-like knob from the butt end of the knife which exposes a threaded cavity. Then you just screw in the slingshot and fire away!

I had two of these at one time and actually got pretty good with the other one.

I know, I know, we should quit chatting. "Chatting" sounds so British! :)

Message and e-mail sent wmhandy. This one is SOLD! and will ship out tomorrow. Thank you!

Edit: As promised, this was shipped out 10/27/09.
