I just gathered my knives together, and now I realized how much I've spent on these things!

Why must Benchmades be so addicting!? I just inventoried them and found I've got one 550S, one 555, one 720BT, one 910, one 940, one 940S, one 921S, one 690BC1, one 806D2, two 806SD2s, one 710HS, one 145BT, and one 814HS!

Awhile back, I kept a list of the stuff I bought after discovering Bladeforums.
One 12 month period equaled $3600-worked $10K worth of overtime, though, and being single, I didn't have to justify it to anyone else:p
There are guys around here who pay more than that for ONE knife. Their lists would probably make me shudder (envy, awe, you know...all that good stuff).
This year only cost me $110 when you figure what I bought vs. what I sold. Reached a point where I couldn't justify it to myself, much less another person:o

Thankfully I'm single, but I every time I get a box in the mail my mom wonders what knife I've bought now! hehe...

There is a guy in Oregon who built an underground basement/vault to keep his samurai sword collection. Everthing is relative to how much money you have!!!

remember jaxurman supposedly had $100K in knives, imho prob not far off, i doubt he's playing w/them now though.......

Jaxurman???? I kinda sorta maybe halfway partially semi miss his presence.... and all the jax-bashin' that went on!

Some guys here not only would not want to gather their collections because it would indicate just how much they have spent, but also because it would take hours to do(right chuck and dexter;) )!

I know what you mean ..I now have a knife safe, the knives long ago over took the guns in there

Hehe...that is going to be my next purchase!

I can never collect more than 2K to 3K worth of knives at any one time. I see the whole batch, I start to feel guilty and usually "sell from the bottom," leaving the most expensive or desirable models alone.

You know, I started this infernal hobby when I went looking for ONE GOOD jackknife.
