Very nice! I like where schrade put the simple and elegant blade etch, up past the grind where it will last. Here's another pic I'll keep in my Schrade folder.

Any info on this one, other than the date?
Phil

I won't be much help with this one other than saying very nice Schrade.

Phil, the knife is from a set marked 1978 Limited Edition and may be what has been referred to as one of the Dixie Collection. The 144UH is etched, "Alabama" with a large rose. From what I've read here, this LB7 with Staglon handles was the forerunner of the LB8 to come.

Redshanks,
Not more accurate just different besides your picture say more than all the words I could come up with.
Good job.
Larry

...on these "Dixie Collection" sets? I have heared that there were a limited number (500??) made for each state. Any way to verify? How about estimated value? I have kept my Texas set in its box since 1978. (never used) Thanks
