Hey Bro. There's a jug of Cider vinegar being delivered to me as we speak ;-)) It sure looks great on a nice polished blade, not sure how it will come out on a piece of pitted steel but it's worth a try.

Thanks for posting. I rarely get out of the axe forum, lots of good general info out there. I guess you could just dip an axe head into the boiling vinegar instead of applying it with cotton balls.
 
Can not wait to try it on one of my CS hawks. It is absolutely beautiful on the polished knife blade. I know you will get finished first Robin and am anxious to see your results. Thanks for posting, Bro.
