So as my recent post says, I have the bug to purchase another CRK. I currently own two, the 25, and the small 21. I love them both.

Here's the million dollar question, what should be next? Let's hear your opinions!

I've got it down to two options:

OPTION 1: Large plane jane Sebenza 21

OPTION 2: The almighty Umnumzaan


What do you guys think? Let the debate begin!:cool:
 
Option 1, but thats because I prefer the Sebenza.
I have no idea which you would prefer though, and would suggest you handle both if you get a chance.
 
Oh trust me, if funds permitted, I would purchase both in a heartbeat.

Sadly, both isn't an option right now, so the tally still stands at:

well if that's the case get the Umnumzaan since you already have 25 and a small 21 you have a pretty good idea of a large 21. The zaan is a whole other animal
 
I think if you could get a zaan with the old pivot style then that. If not then I would go with another seb.
 
Get the plain Jane 21. It's the Sebenza as it was meant to be. I love the simplicity and the bushing.:D
 
I prefer the plain 21. Buy whichever one you can get the best deal on for now, because uou will probably end up with both some day.
 
Id get an Umnum...preferably an older model "just because."

Might want to consider an Insingo?
 
I'd get a Zaan. I'd Definitely get an older model with the big pivot and without the lbs. IMO the lbs that the newer Zaan's have detracts a lot from the looks of the back scale.

It really doesn't serve a purpose except for the few idiots that moved the lockbar too far back to the left. CRK had to ad the lbs because a few people didn't have enough

common sense about moving the lockbar too far to the left.

The Zaan is great knife. You won't be sorry whichever model you get.
 
I vote for option 2, the original style if possible.

For a CRK lover this is a "Must Have"




 
If there's any way possible, handle both. I'm a biased 21 owner so I say the plain jane large 21, but we all have different tastes and opinions. I really like the Umnum, but not as much as I love the 21. I have to make sure I can carry all my knives, and although the Umnum and large 21 are roughly the same size (exact same blade length I believe), the Umnum seems bigger to me for some reason (maybe the slightly more aggressive-ish looking blade?) and just IMO is more of an attention grabber than the 21 which one could argue is a little more on the subdued, elegant side. Both great knives.
