Is that the fireman's SAK? I have that one. Cool bugger and it gets EDC'd regardless of whatever other knives are on me. :D

that would be the lms, the ad would complete the set. one day maybe if im luckly...

i just picked up the same lms. i love it. the fat handles are awesome!! i have yet to see the ad come up for exchange.

it'll be a race for that one!!!!

Cool.
Do you prefer it now that the butt is gone?
How much difference in feel does it make? I would imagine it would have a more forward balance point now.

I have an ABALE with a Busse shop butt grind, and a standard ABLE. I was surprised how little change in the balance point resulted from the butt grind. They both balance slightly behind the talon hole, the standard perhaps a little farther back. It does not become blade-heavy at all with the butt grind. I like the butt grind very much. It makes for the sweetest drop-point hunter I have ever handled. There are better field-dressing knives (shorter blade) and better skinning knives (more sweep) but for a versatile compromise, it is just about perfect.
