An Amber Bone Saddle Horn by Joe Allen. It is 3 5/8" closed and has a half stop position. This one is a little smaller than my last Joe Allen knife :D The fit and finish is fabulous as is the blade action and grinds. The blade is S30V and is marked as such on the reverse. I can't wait for more from Joe, his work is great:thumbup: Have a look:

Durwood,That looks fine ! I like that "sunken joint" that's what they call that ,right??

Thanks Vince. This one was waiting for me when I got home today and was actually not one I was expecting, but I was dang happy to get it. I know a lot of you guys will think I'm crazy, but one of the many things that stands out about Joe's work to me is his incredibly well executed nail nicks or pulls. A bad one ruins even a nice knife and not many guys can get 'em like this.

I like everything about it.
Great looking knifr:thumbup:
Cheers

Very nice. I especially love the curves on that, but it all looks great.

Very cool, Mr. D. I like the bone color a lot. Saddlehorns just feel good when you hold them.

I really like that knife.

Joe Allen's work reminds me a lot of JB Moore's work and vice versa. Have they ever worked with each other I wonder? I have a double bladed Moore Saddlehorn with two clip blades (no spey/sampler - neat knife) and it would look very similar to that knife if it were just a single blade.

I do know that there's a certain Bose fella those two makers have each learned from. Perhaps that's the commonality.

I think that's it:thumbup: Now, if I could just remember that Bose guy's first name.

Very nice. I sure do agree about the nail nicks - they really enhance the whole look and call attention to that fine blade.
