I have to say that although there are many knives in my collection which are worth lots more money, and some are more scarce, this particular Cricket with Tuffram coating is my most prized knife.

Used by my departed comrade in arms (killed on duty 1-25-2000) to open evidence bags & containers in our property room, I gave the knife to another Officer a couple years ago. Just got it back in a trade, and plan on keeping it forever.

A special gift from Allen E. Treat is my most cherished Spydie. I received it as a gift out of his generosity and good nature.
I just received an email from him one day, out of the blue, offering me this free gift and I just about fell off my chair. :D

I have a Spydie designed by Peter Herbst that I bought yesterday that has now become my favorite. It is the first "high-end" Spyderco that I have owned. I have eight other Spydies that are all special to me in one way or another. I guess I'm a Spydie nut what can I say.

Co-Pilot. It was the first Spyderco I bought. That was about 10+ years ago, and it is still in my pocket.

My new VG-10 Navigator ($29.99 @ eknifeworks), it's my first and my only spyder(for now) and I can't believe how cool-looking and well built it is!

A Delica from 1996 that started my fascination with knives other than SAKs. It's in retirement but I still carry it from time to time and it still holds a great edge.

That would be the G-10 Spyderco Police model, also given to me as a gift by Allen E. Treat.

I'd have to say it's a tie... FRN SE Endura or Tan CE Salsa... both gifts from Al.

My Endura resides in my left pocket, the salsa takes up my rear right(don't carry a wallet there anyways) until my rigs get here... then the salsa goes on the neck and will be with me 24/7. :D

I had 2 salsas to send... had to choose... #135V or Al's gift... I'm carrying Al's gift right now. Worth more than any collectors number can ever be.

That's really a tough one. All my spidies are cherished.
First it's my Ladybug, my first spidie.
Then it's the PE Delica - my dream spidie - a gift from Allen E Treat.
After this it's the Vesuvius (not mine, but my wife's) - also from Allen, and the Copilot (used to be mine, but my wife likes it a lot so she carries it ;) - from Java.
Then it's the Meerkat from my fellows forumites at the Spyderco Forum.
Then there are others to come:
the SE Delica, the Jesters, Mini Police and the Native from Allen (quite a suitable name - Treat). Allen is the Spidie Santa isn't it?
And only God knows what other surprises will follow... :)
So you see that it's very difficult to pick a knife as all have a great sentimental value. Thank you all folks, you know who you are (and others know it too) ;)

Actually I have two that have special meaning for me:

A Tuffram/Aluminum Police that is engraved with my name and given to me by Sal Glesser during a 9 week security detail I supervised during World Cup 94.

An orange handle "Ground Zero" Large Rescue given to me by Joyce Laituri at Spyderco. This large model was made before it was decided by Spyderco to do the 200 unit run with the small rescue instead. Spyderco donated all of these specially engraved folders to emergency personnel.

Special knives from special people!

My favorite Spydie is my Calypso Jr. in VG-10. In fact, it is the only Spydie I have right now, although there are some others that appeal to me, like the Kiwi, the Lum Chinese, the Chinook, and the Military.

My taste in knives is so traditional that Spydies just never appealed to me. But I kept reading about what a great cutter the Calypso was, and finally got one. Wow.

My most cherished would be my G-10 PE Police. :D

My PE large Wegner is right behind it.

Mine is a SS Police SE my wife and 1yr old daughter gave to me for Christmas in '91. Carried it on active duty in 6 states and 2 OCONUS deployments. Replaced it a couple of years ago with a SE Military but still carry it when I wear my Seiko 6309 diver watch, they kind of go together.

I think my favorite is my new micarta SPOT, but it's a hard call to make. I love 'em all! :D
